The Brief

LeftField, a new and exciting food destination in Edinburgh, aimed to create an intimate and atmospheric dining experience that complements their exceptional cuisine. Inspired by Jay Rayner’s review, “Just the place for a dark night,” our design features traditional wood panelling, a dark and moody colour palette with green accents, and foliage. The restaurant includes moody lighting and a private dining area downstairs, separated by timber slats as a key architectural feature. The picturesque view towards Arthur’s Seat adds to the enchanting ambiance.

The Solution

The design for LeftField successfully creates a cosy and atmospheric dining environment that enhances the overall experience. Traditional wood panelling, moody lighting, and a dark colour palette with green accents establish a sophisticated ambiance. The private dining area, highlighted by timber slats, adds architectural interest. Combined with the stunning view towards Arthur’s Seat, the design offers a unique and memorable dining experience, perfectly matching LeftField’s culinary excellence.
