Forth Point
Castle Terrace, Edinburgh | 4,500 sqft | CAT A PLUS
The Brief
Forth Point, an emerging data company experiencing rapid growth, needed to relocate from their previous office to better accommodate their expansion. They selected a central location with excellent public transport access and nearby amenities to enhance convenience for their employees.
The design brief emphasized an industrial aesthetic infused with Scandinavian natural design elements. Due to their growth trajectory and short-term lease, Forth Point required a flexible workspace solution that could be easily transported, ensuring that the new office could adapt to their future needs.
The Solution
The thoughtfully designed floor plan and furniture solution for Forth Point’s new office effectively cater to their diverse workspace needs by incorporating distinct areas such as Work Zones, Huddle Areas, Meeting Areas (both formal and informal), and a spacious Breakout Area. The dedicated Tea Prep + Breakout space is specifically tailored to support events for clients and staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
The colour palette, featuring a somber range with vibrant pops of colour in upholstery, kitchen cabinets, and feature walls, enhances the industrial aesthetic while softening the overall atmosphere. This design choice aligns with Forth Point’s vision of an edgy yet inviting workspace, ultimately creating a functional environment that promotes productivity and creativity. Overall, the new office exemplifies Forth Point’s commitment to nurturing an innovative culture as they continue to expand.
