&More Design Consultants are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and proactive Architectural Technologist to join our team.

&More is a young architecture and interior design practice based in Leith in Edinburgh. We are a friendly, design-based studio and our portfolio of work includes exciting new projects within the Commercial, Hospitality and Public sectors across Scotland and the UK. The office and project structure allows for excellent experience and career progression across all RIBA Plan of Work stages.

The practice has embraced the flexible/hybrid working model, and Architectural Technologist’s are able to work 2 days a week in the office, with the other 2 from home if that is your preference. It may be the case that in the first couple of months you are required in the office more often to enable you to be more acquainted with the team and projects you’ll be working on.

The ideal candidate will be able to produce concise technical information using AutoCAD and ideally ARCHICAD. This candidate should also have in-depth knowledge of current Building Regulations (Scotland) for non-domestic buildings alongside awareness of all steps related to project completion and diligently communicate with necessary people to ensure timely execution.

Your role will involve:

  • Working closely with Line Manager to assist in the technical delivery of projects
  • Establishing and maintaining good relationships with external project team members as appropriate
  • Using own initiative and demonstrating independent working ability when required
  • Completing designs, applying sound technical knowledge relevant to the role
  • Assist in managing drawings production, and checking CAD/ Revit design work in collaboration with colleagues

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Architectural Technologist with a degree in Architectural Technology or HNC/HND equivalent.
  • CIAT accreditation would be looked on favorably but not necessarily essential.
  • 3+ years of industry experience ideally within a private practice environment.
  • Sound knowledge of Building Standards (Scotland) for Non Domestic Buildings
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and preferably ArchiCAD
  • Strong organisational and technical skills
  • Strong communicative skills, both written and verbal
  • Eligibility to work within the UK is essential
